For the dumplinds :
- 2,5 cup of flour
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 500g blueberries
- sugar to taste
- cream + extra sugar to taste + vanilla powder, mix everthing well
This recipe I ‘ve got from my grandma. You can add all fruit, it up of you, what kind fruit you like.
To make the filling: clean the blueberries and drain. Add the powder sugar to taste. Mix it gently.
To make the dough dumplings : sift the flour in a bowl add the egg yolk and water, salt, oil and to a firm dough until smooth.Roll out thinly and stamp out dough.
Place a spoon of blueberries on each round and bring the edges of the dough together, pinching to enclose.
You heve to be sure there are good close. In a big pan bring the water to boil, add a little of salt. Throw dumplings into boiling water, and cook about 5 minutes, until the dumplings are cooked well.
Take out from the water and drain well, place on the plate and pour the cream sauce over the dumpling and garnish with fruit.
Dumplings are very popular in Poland, we do it very often with different fruits, or even with the meat as well. The recipe for the dumplings with meat will write later.
